New Delhi: A former Delhi University lab assistant who set herself on fire alleging sexual assault last week died on Monday morning. She was admitted to the LNJP hospital with 90 per cent burn injuries. The lady had tried to immolate herself outside Delhi secretariat on September 30. She alleged that she was sexually harassed by the principal and an employee of the BR Ambedkar College. ALSO SEE DU ex-lab assistant alleges sexual assault, sets herself on fire While the police are yet to act against the college principal and the employee over the allegations, they had registered an attempt to suicide case against the woman even as her husband is a head constable in the Delhi Police.
